The Unique Junckers Clip Floating Floor System

  • Quick and simple
  • Ideal for DIY - does not require training
  • Enables you to install solid hardwood flooring on virtually any subfloor:
  • Concrete, radiant heat floors, plywood, linoleum, etc...
  • Stable and quiet to walk on
  • No static electricity
  • Hygienic, easy to clean
  • 100% floating, no nails are used
  • All clips are totally invisible

(1)The subfloor should be level +-2mm in 1.5m. Moisture content of concrete floor should be 5-6%. (2)Lay the Junckers Poly-Filt underlayment that incorporates a moisture barrier. Make sure to overlap seams by 200mm.
(3)The clips are easily hammered into the groove on the back of the Juckers Planks. The next board to be fastened here. (4) The free end of the clip should point in the direction of the tongue, i.e. in the laying direction.
(5) Expansion gaps must be left along the whole perimeter of the floor. Use cut pieces of wood to maintain the gaps. (6) In the first and last rows, the distance between clips should be40cm. All other rows 70cm. The first clip is placed a maximum of 8cm from the wall.
(7) Note: Only the end-joints are glued. Never apply glue to the longitudinal sides of the boards. (8) The free end of the clip from the floor already laid will grip the groove of the next board when you tap the new board up.
(9) To prevent the clips from touching each other, alternate them at intervals of about 5cm. (10) When the first 2-3 boards have been laid, you may stand on the laid flooring for the rest of the laying process.
(11) Measure the width of the last row and cut the boards as needed making sure to take into account the required gap. (12) When the last board is laid it must be glued to the adjacent full board along it's length. This board is the only exception to the rule of never applying glue to the longitudinal joints.
(13) The last board is fitted with a small crowbar or joint puller. (14) Install the wall base to finish the installation.
